when I mentioned my "email provider" I obviously must have used the wrong title. I've tried starting windows and Thunderbird in safe mode as well as switching off my anti virus. Try to start '''Windows''' in safe mode with networking enabled. Maybe it's just a setting that needs changing, (hopefully). I was trying to say the collector of mail like "outlook" "thunderbird " " " etc my appologies if I did not know the correct technical term for this type of service. you are so aggressive and dissmissive at the same time. But how is your email provider related to Thunderbird? If I don't find a real solution soon I will be forced to try another email provider, Still in Windows safe mode, start Thunderbird in safe mode. Try to start Windows in safe mode with networking enabled. Including switching off the AV Bitdefender I've been all over the internet and tried every "solution"
